What Will Happen After The Cosmetic Surgery?
Following the surgery you are likely to wake up in hospital with bandages covering the areas where the surgery has taken place. What is in place to help in the recovery process will be dependent on the surgery you had.
In the case of breast augmentation or other breast related procedures you will be required to wear a sports bra after the procedure for 24 hours a day for as long as three months following. With facelifts, you will have your face covered with bandages that run around your ears and over your head (as well as your chin if an incision was made there).
Once the surgery is completed, the surgeon will need to close the incisions and this will be done with the use of stitches, which can range between dissolvable and non-dissolvable.
If the latter are used you will need to return to the hospital at some point down the line for someone to remove them. However, with dissolvable stitches this will not be the case.
Other things that could be in place following the procedure will be metal clips. These are used for procedures such as facelifts, which will remain in place for two weeks before they are removed.
